Throughout history, the female figure has inspired artists with its allure, mystique, and timeless elegance. And in our modern age, women are embracing their bodies and seeking to celebrate their innate beauty. As an intimate portrait photographer, I’m continuing both of these traditions by combining modern technology with timeless art principles to create visual reminders of your power, beauty, strength, and gentleness.
LOVING
You deserve to be celebrated for all that is seen and unseen. You deserve to direct your empathy, gentleness, love, and grace to yourself. To be feminine is to be strong while also being soft - confident yet humble. Your photos are more like an intimate portrait, reflecting your inner beauty that’s slumbering beneath the surface.
EMPOWERING
Empowerment is at the heart of my work. You have the innate ability to love and embrace your unique beauty and power, but maybe you feel like you need extra support to get out of your own way. Kindling provides a safe and supportive environment to rekindle your fire and walk away with a visual reminder of your inner strength and authenticity.
HEALING
As a trauma-informed photographer, I take it upon myself to create an environment of trust and honesty so that you can feel comfortable and safe in front of the camera. I believe that by holding space for you and your experience, we can create images that honestly reflect your strength, vulnerability, and authentic self. By utilizing the 6 core principles of trauma-informed care, we will work together to create a space for you to feel comfortable in front of the lens.

1. THE FIRST STEP
Once you've decided that you’re ready to do a boudoir photography session in North Carolina, the first step is to send me a message on the contact page with your desired session type, location, and availability. From there, we'll schedule a Zoom introduction where we can discuss your vision and answer any questions you may have. Next, you’ll receive a contract to sign and payment deposit link. From there, we'll schedule a vision planning meeting where we can collaborate on the vision for your shoot.
2. YOUR SESSION
We'll start by taking a look around the space and taking a moment to get ready for the session. We'll then begin with a guided breathing meditation and positive affirmations to invite confidence, intention, and relaxation into our time together. Throughout the shoot, I'll guide you through poses inspired by the mood board with as many breaks as we need. We'll end the session with a celebratory moment and a chance to take your own photos of the Polaroids.
3. THE ART
After your shoot, your film negatives will be sent off for processing, development, and scanning. You'll receive updates on the status of your film, including sneak peeks of some of the images. In 4-6 weeks, your full gallery of images will be ready, and we'll schedule an image reveal and product ordering call. During this call, you'll have the chance to view all of the images from your session and place orders for prints or other products.
